Don't We Get A Dress Rehearsal?

The Holiday season has begun and there is no shortage on family, food and lots of love! We took a trip to Lake Roosevelt 2 weeks ago with our good friends Ben and Sandra. It was sooooo nice to get outta town and be in the calm of Mother Nature herself. Ben, Matt and Micah got a chance to get out on the boat while Sandra, Kapri and I cought up on much needed laziness! The boys ALMOST cought a fish but needless to say Matt is still "O-ferr" on the fishing action! We had a great weekend; it was just in time to get ready for the holiday season! This year Kris and Melissa joined us for Thanksgiving, bad part...they won't be here for Christmas :( With 2, yes 2 turkeys this year they weren’t the only ones stuffed. Dad made his famous stuffing and I think this year it was his best. It's soo fun to see the dinner table grow each year with new family members. Micah woke up Thanksgiving morning walking around the house saying "Happy Thanks for Giving" which I didn'...

3 years…really!! Wow how times fly when you are having fun. Micah turned 3 on the 14th and I feel like it was just yesterday that I was bringing him home from the hospital (after Matt’s inappropriate stop at a Chinese restaurant). Anyway I am thankful for the blessing that was given to Matt and I and I can’t wait to see him continue to grow! Here are a few pictures of his birthday party (Cars themed). Wow it’s been too long…so let me wrap up with what’s been going on these past few months! Kapri: She is AMAZING! We just had her 2 month visit last week and she weighed in at 10lbs 10oz…she a growing girl! So far her personality is that she knows what she wants and doesn’t want, she WANTS you to talk and play with her, she DOESN’T want a passy (we’ve tried them ALL), and she LOVES to smile. I can’t get over how adorable and precious she is. She loves hearing the sound of Micah’s voice and talks instantaneous when Nani (my mom) holds her. Micah: Growing…Growing and GROWING! He’s is such a big boy, I am trying to soak up all the little moments that seem to be slipping by. I hug him a little longer and kiss him a little more each day. He continuously is spewing out hilarious sentences and is always making us laugh. I am so proud of what he is turning into. He is moving up a few weeks early in his school rooms because he is advanced…trying not to brag, but hard not too right now! Anyway he...

Chili Roast 2011 was another "hot" success! Every year the family gets together for the great "chili roast" that takes place at my Tia Anna's house. A few of my Tia's and Tio's go out to Wilcox and pick out some Hatch Chili's for anybody who requests them. Then the next day we do what we do best...throw a party while roasting the 200+ pounds of chili's that were picked the day before! The day starts at 8 AM and doesn't end until the the last chili is roasted...so about 10 or 11 PM! We eat Sonoran dogs for lunch and a variety of "green chili" dishes for dinner that include Chili Relleno and Green Chili Turkey just to name a few. Here are a few pictures (Matt bought me a new camera for our anniversary...yay!!)... ...The last one has nothing to do with Chilies BUT it was the best Peach dessert at the party this year and I thought it was worthy of a picture! YUMMMMMY!

She is here!! Kapri Kethleen Tiggas, all of 6lbs 9oz’s on August 20, 2010. What a day to bring in the newest member of our family. She is absolutely amazing in every way. Matt, Micah and I couldn’t be any happier. Micah has surprised me more than anything with how much he LOVES his little sister. All he wants to do is give kisses and when she cries he’s right there to pat and shush her quiet. Here are a few pictures...

Wow what a crazy last few weeks!! I am JUST updating from the Wing Ding that happened 2 weeks ago because it's just been THAT busy! Let me start off by recapping what may be the funniest tradition we have created for our family and friends...and the yummiest! The 1st Annual Wing Ding!! It all started over a year ago when we went out with our Tia Lue to lunch and had some wings... we decided right there and then we should have a wing contest, and FINALLY 2 weeks ago we did, and it was a hit! I think our house was going to explode with all the people there but who cares we were surrounded by all of our family and friends and REALLY good wings. We set up the competition so that everybody had a team name and all contestants could enter up to 3 different wing flavors. We had 2 judges and everybody who wasn't participating in the competition just had to bring a pot luck dish to share with everyone. The winner received a trophy and 2nd and 3rd received a ribbon. I think we had enough ...
