Mother's Day... truly a blessed day!

Happy mother's day to all those who have had little toes, noses and cheeks to kiss! This year was a little more special as I now have 2 kiddos! The day started out with a surprise from Matt... HIM! He was fishing all weeked and I didn't expect him home till later in the day, but to my surprise he walked in the kitchen at 8AM, which was nice so the kids and I didn't have to go to church without him! On Friday when picking up the kids both of their classrooms made Mother's day gifts: Micah: I didnt take a picture...and it's soooo worthy of one...my bad! Anyway he had made 2 cards.  The first one said "I love you mommy because" with the teachers writing and the kids' words this is what Micah wrote: "You give me big monster trucks and little monster trucks"...only a boy :) The second card read "Mommy I promise to" (there were 3 promise lines) 1. Daddy and I will pick up ALL the bugs. 2. We will give you a birthday party. 3. (m...

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year, especially with Micah as he is fully aware of these characters who come and leave gifts throughout the year. This year the Easter Bunny left a trail of eggs in the hallway leading up to a candy filled Easter basket (I cringe thinking of the next dentist visit!).  Matt and I loved hearing his little feet run through the hall and then to hear him gasp each time he found an egg was too cute! We recently became members of a new church and decided to go to mass there (we usually drive across town to our old church to go to special holiday masses with mom and dad). After mass we headed to Mom and Dad's and had an AMAZING feast! Micah was bouncing off the walls with the amount of candy he had eaten, and once again, Mom out did herself with the kids' baskets she made. Here are a few pictures!

Green Thumb?

I LOVE gardening... veggies, flowers WHATEVER! But sometimes it doesn't love me, so I have been trying out different items to see what best fits in this Arizona heat and in my own garden! We recently got a watermelon kit (for Micah) from our cousins Alexis and her daughters, so we decided to try it out! Ill keep you posted on how they do, but to my understanding they are VERY "viney" and take up tons of room, so we will see how long this one lasts. We also just planted an assortment of flowers as well as sugar snap peas, tomatoes and bell peppers. Here's to turning my yellow thumb a vibrant green!

Annnnd we're back!

That’s right we are now back on the map since the 2011 T.I.G. has ended! So what’s new? Here are a few things: Kapri: Who is 7 months already… Since February she has learned to sit up and crawl and since last week she is now able to grab and stand!! She is a mover and shaker and what I like to call a “roller coaster” baby. She loves to be (lightly) tossed in the air, hang upside down on Daddy’s arms and loves, loves when Micah startles’ her. She is eating all kinds of baby food and has since been blessed with a little bottom tooth! She is NOTHING like her brother size wise… she is still wearing 3 month clothes!! She is my little peanut and is the most amazing little bitty. Micah: Still 3… going on 10… As he gets older in the 3 year old department he has mastered the skill of negotiation, and loves to see how far he can get away with things. He is learning something new every day, and just loves all over Kapri every chance he gets. I couldn’t have been blessed with a better bigger bro...

5 Months!

Kapri hit the 20 week mark last Friday and I feel like I just held her for the first time yesterday. It has been amazing watching her grow and because she is my second one, I have an idea as to what milestone she will hit next and I get too excited for her. She has been a text book baby and since she has been sleeping through the night I CANT complain about a thing! Not to mention she now takes her paci which makes the whole car seat situation none existent! (She hated her car seat and would SCREAM whenever she was in the car...the WHOLE time). This child (just like Micah) has a SMILE on her face all the time. Some things that she is doing: Rolling from front to back and vice versa (started doing that at 4 months) Discovering EVERY pitch in her voice (really funny) BUBBLES - Her saliva glands have kicked in and she loves making bubbles with the extra drool! Micah has surprised me the most, as he LOVES his little sister. No matter what he is doing if she starts to cry or get fussy he ru...

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We are JUST getting back into the groove of our normal life after a busy holiday season! We had a GREAT time as usual with the family during Christmas. Micah got to spend some time with his cousin Philip who he hasn't seen in well over a year! This Christmas Micah really enjoyed the day. He not only understands that the day is all for Jesus but he really understood Santa Clause. Although I have to say I don't use Santa Clause as leverage for being a naughty or nice child...Santa Clause doesn't get that much credit. It was sooo much fun having both kids, it was extra special as it was Kapri's first Christmas. We rung in the New Year toga style! Our great friends Ben and Sandra threw a great Toga themed party that EVERYONE who came dressed up for. Matt and I had fun putting our togas together and really enjoyed the party...it was my first night without Kapri, we both made it but I have to say all I was thinking about were the kids and how excited...
