I LOVE weddings!

We just got back from our week long trip to San Diego for my brother and new sister-in-law's wedding weekend! We had a BLAST! We usually need a vacation from our vacation but not this time...we were BUSY with family and friends for the wedding part of the weekend and then took a little R&R for ourselves after the wedding. Micah, Matt and I got to spend time with each other with no work or outside interruptions! We also got to see Sprinkle who we miss terribly, but made the most of it.

The wedding itself was amazing. Their marriage ceremony took place on a golf course that was surrounded with beautiful mountains and lots of GREEN. I love going to weddings because they remind me of my own. They are a good reminder of the values and blessings you have found in your partner and how if you listen closely with your heart God pairs you with the perfect match. I can't wait for Kris and Melissa to begin their new lives as a couple, they are two of the most loving people I know and I couldn't be more proud of the both of them.

Micah did amazing on the trip but was super excited to be home and play with Duke and Monolo. Back to a regular routine (for now). We are already planning our next trip in June!

The pregnancy is going well, I am 5 1/2 months along and growing! She kicks ALOT...a lot more than Micah did. I have a love/hate relationship with the kicking situation. I love that she reminds me that I have a little blessing growing in my tummy but she tends to remind me a little too often!

Side note: One of my girlfriends lost her sister this past weekend suddenly. Due to pregnancy complications she didn't make it but the doctors were able to save the baby boy, Thomas is his name. I share her story because I know that prayers go along way and the family could use it right now, and it's also a good reminder to take the time to hug, kiss, cuddle and share love with the ones that are close.

Giving Thanks...Kapri's Surgery and Recovery.

You know that sinking, useless, hopeless feeling you get when one of your children are sick or hurt? Those feelings were almost more than I could take when I went to take Kapri in for her 15 month check up on Tuesday morning and ended up in surgery Tuesday night... A little over two weeks ago Kapri began to limp on her right leg and after noticing I kept an eye on it and it would differ day to day.  Sometimes it wasn't even noticeable as she would run back and forth from her brother or just in her play.  Other times is was so noticeable I found myself holding her more than I ever had (after she learned how to walk).  I decided that it was time to call the Dr. and see what his thoughts were.  So Friday (18th) we got her in. The typical questions like, did she fall, was she pushed at school, does she have a temp, etc.  Since NONE of these symptoms seemed to be the case he wanted me to just keep her on Motrin and since she had her 15 month check up on Tuesday (...

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year, especially with Micah as he is fully aware of these characters who come and leave gifts throughout the year. This year the Easter Bunny left a trail of eggs in the hallway leading up to a candy filled Easter basket (I cringe thinking of the next dentist visit!).  Matt and I loved hearing his little feet run through the hall and then to hear him gasp each time he found an egg was too cute!   We recently became members of a new church and decided to go to mass there (we usually drive across town to our old church to go to special holiday masses with mom and dad). After mass we headed to Mom and Dad's and had an AMAZING feast! Micah was bouncing off the walls with the amount of candy he had eaten, and once again, Mom out did herself with the kids' baskets she made. Here are a few pictures!

Peace Out to Another School Year

It's so true what they say, time flies, so be carful not to blink too hard. I love seeing these first and last day pics side by side.  The growth always stuns me bit and sends me into meltdown mode. I see them everyday, why do I feel like I am missing them physically grow?! My only indicators are the thinning of dimples in their cheeks and on their little hands. We say peace out to 1st and 3rd grade today, and Maddux says peace out to life in general. I am always excited for the next step, but I trend lightly as it just means another dimple is fading. 1st and Last day of the 2016-2017 School Year
