Happy 1st Birthday...Little Cupcake Kapri

August... big birthday month for the Tiggas household! We celebrated mine and Matt's birthday, but this year, and for the rest of our lives, I was most excited to celebrate Kapri's 1st birthday, August 20, 2011. This year has gone by so fast and I keep looking at the kids wondering where the time has gone! Every milestone that she has passed is such a bitter sweet moment for me as I am so proud of her but still don't want to let go of that little ball of joy that could fit her whole body on my chest when she slept.

Oh happy birthday Kapri, you’re walking and growing so fast and the one sound that I will never get over is you saying "mamma" for everything. I love how excited you get when you see us, you try to run but your little footsteps are too fast for your body. You love to point at everything that interests you and you talk gibberish to show me that you want it, or that you want me to look at it. Micah makes you laugh the most, and your giggles are contagious. Momma and Daddy love you sweet baby girl!

Hello & Goodbye to Sum•mer

sum·mer 1 ˈsəmər/ noun 1 . the warmest season of the year, in the northern hemisphere from June to August and in the southern hemisphere from December to February. I just wanted to give myself a second to really think about this thing called summer. Anyone else think this definition is just a little bit vague? It's that time of year where we get all excited to have ZERO schedule, endless electronics, the chance to travel and cram in all of the fun you planned for all year long. She Turned 7!

SEVEN, she did it again... who does she think she is trying to get another year older on us. In all seriousness, she is SEVEN. Like, what happened to 5 and 6? Let me tell you what 7 looks like on my little Pripri... Just a few things about this girl 1. Guess who her favorite person is...duh. Micah 2. She is soooo much more compassionate and caring than I could have ever imagined. 3. She might be 7, however her attitude screams teen! She is sensitive but oh so brave and she is never afraid to take on new adventures! 4. Her best friend is still, you guessed it, Maggie. 5. Right now she is playing softball (second season) and is having a ton of fun. Cheerleading is still on her brain, but for now, we will stick with this. 6. Peace Out to Another School Year

It's so true what they say, time flies, so be carful not to blink too hard. I love seeing these first and last day pics side by side. The growth always stuns me bit and sends me into meltdown mode. I see them everyday, why do I feel like I am missing them physically grow?! My only indicators are the thinning of dimples in their cheeks and on their little hands. We say peace out to 1st and 3rd grade today, and Maddux says peace out to life in general. I am always excited for the next step, but I trend lightly as it just means another dimple is fading. 1st and Last day of the 2016-2017 School Year
