Annnnd we're back!

That’s right we are now back on the map since the 2011 T.I.G. has ended! So what’s new? Here are a few things:

Kapri: Who is 7 months already…
Since February she has learned to sit up and crawl and since last week she is now able to grab and stand!! She is a mover and shaker and what I like to call a “roller coaster” baby. She loves to be (lightly) tossed in the air, hang upside down on Daddy’s arms and loves, loves when Micah startles’ her. She is eating all kinds of baby food and has since been blessed with a little bottom tooth! She is NOTHING like her brother size wise… she is still wearing 3 month clothes!! She is my little peanut and is the most amazing little bitty.

As he gets older in the 3 year old department he has mastered the skill of negotiation, and loves to see how far he can get away with things. He is learning something new every day, and just loves all over Kapri every chance he gets. I couldn’t have been blessed with a better bigger brother for a son! On the other hand, he is still pushing the “stop yelling, hitting and throwing your toys” boundaries that I can’t wait to be rid of!

Matt and I are doing much better since the games have ended and have since recovered from our crazy month long March madness. Our next project is the 2nd Annual Wing Ding! We are super excited to see what the family and friends bring to the judges table this year.

Giving Thanks...Kapri's Surgery and Recovery.

You know that sinking, useless, hopeless feeling you get when one of your children are sick or hurt? Those feelings were almost more than I could take when I went to take Kapri in for her 15 month check up on Tuesday morning and ended up in surgery Tuesday night... A little over two weeks ago Kapri began to limp on her right leg and after noticing I kept an eye on it and it would differ day to day.  Sometimes it wasn't even noticeable as she would run back and forth from her brother or just in her play.  Other times is was so noticeable I found myself holding her more than I ever had (after she learned how to walk).  I decided that it was time to call the Dr. and see what his thoughts were.  So Friday (18th) we got her in. The typical questions like, did she fall, was she pushed at school, does she have a temp, etc.  Since NONE of these symptoms seemed to be the case he wanted me to just keep her on Motrin and since she had her 15 month check up on Tuesday (...

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year, especially with Micah as he is fully aware of these characters who come and leave gifts throughout the year. This year the Easter Bunny left a trail of eggs in the hallway leading up to a candy filled Easter basket (I cringe thinking of the next dentist visit!).  Matt and I loved hearing his little feet run through the hall and then to hear him gasp each time he found an egg was too cute!   We recently became members of a new church and decided to go to mass there (we usually drive across town to our old church to go to special holiday masses with mom and dad). After mass we headed to Mom and Dad's and had an AMAZING feast! Micah was bouncing off the walls with the amount of candy he had eaten, and once again, Mom out did herself with the kids' baskets she made. Here are a few pictures!

Peace Out to Another School Year

It's so true what they say, time flies, so be carful not to blink too hard. I love seeing these first and last day pics side by side.  The growth always stuns me bit and sends me into meltdown mode. I see them everyday, why do I feel like I am missing them physically grow?! My only indicators are the thinning of dimples in their cheeks and on their little hands. We say peace out to 1st and 3rd grade today, and Maddux says peace out to life in general. I am always excited for the next step, but I trend lightly as it just means another dimple is fading. 1st and Last day of the 2016-2017 School Year
