Hot, Hot, HOT!

For those of you who don't live here right now...LUCKY! We are nice and hot here and there is no sign of Monsoon Season, other than scattered clouds here and there (which is much appreciated). We have been trying to keep cool by doing most of our weekend activities in doors. Except for this past weekend we headed out to Breakers Water Park with Mom and Dad, and Shana's clan! It WAS SOOO FUN! We stayed nice and cool in the kids area with Micah who had a blast on the kid slides. We also hung out in the big wave pool which isn't as big as I remember (then again I was like 10 when I last went). I can't help but think about kids peeing in the pool whenever I am at a large pool with tons of kiddos...ewww, oh well. Anyway we stayed for longer than we expected and at the very end we got some relief from the sun with an overcast sky, which worked out great.
We also got to spend 4th of July RIGHT UNDER THE FIREWORKS! We hung out with Shana's clan over at the JW Marriott where they have Nickelodeon weekends. The Dora and SpongeBob characters come out and greet the guests and they have tons of activities for the kids. We again hung out at the pool all day! They also put their own firework show on right on the golf course (right next to the pool). I think we were MAYBE 50 yards away? Micah was apprehensive about the situation but did ok. Lets just say he tolerated them!

Since we blogged last I think I had 10 or so weeks to go...5 weeks 3 days left (but who's counting)! I think we have planned enough activities in the next 5 weeks to keep my mind off of being so anxious. We hope to get one more camping trip in, then we have our 1st Annual Wing Ding competition at our house (what was I thinking) and then we are looking forward to the baby shower...oh I forgot to mention we have a weeklong National Tournament that we are hosting the first week of August for work, oh boy let’s hope baby girl doesn't decide to come early!

I will keep you posted on our activities and the countdown to baby town!

xoxo
He likes to eat hotdogs starting in the middle!

Hello & Goodbye to Sum•mer

sum·mer 1 ˈsəmər/ noun 1 .  the warmest season of the year, in the northern hemisphere from June to August and in the southern hemisphere from December to February. I just wanted to give myself a second to really think about this thing called summer. Anyone else think this definition is just a little bit vague? It's that time of year where we get all excited to have ZERO schedule, endless electronics, the chance to travel and cram in all of the fun you planned for all year long. Then when this so called "summer" ends, you feel bamboozled, like someone just waved that 4th of July pie you went to that party to specifically eat, right in front of your face only to look...not eat. Like seriously, it was here, right in front of my face, and now... it's gone. Now, now we pack lunch every night, we get our homework in (which I don't even understand), we figure out which parent is going to be the taxi for the day, we actually have to ...

She Turned 7!

SEVEN, she did it again... who does she think she is trying to get another year older on us. In all seriousness, she is SEVEN. Like, what happened to 5 and 6? Let me tell you what 7 looks like on my little Pripri... Just a few things about this girl 1. Guess who her favorite person is...duh. Micah 2. She is soooo much more compassionate and caring than I could have ever imagined. 3. She might be 7, however her attitude screams teen! She is sensitive but oh so brave and she is never afraid to take on new adventures! 4. Her best friend is still, you guessed it, Maggie. 5. Right now she is playing softball (second season) and is having a ton of fun. Cheerleading is still on her brain, but for now, we will stick with this. 6. When she laughs, you can't help but laugh with her. Her laugh alone will make you light up. 7. Her favorite things include: Unicorns, Bear (her pink one), Unicorns, Mermaids, those fake glasses (see pic below), her American Girl Doll (pic above), Uni...

The Big Apple

{deep breath}… We did it, we made it, and we are still alive to talk about it… We made it to and from New York City with our sanity in hand! Actually we got back on the 11th of October but it has taken me a few weeks to recover from the trip, I needed a little space between me and NYC, and now that I am feeling whole again I am ready to revisit our trip. When Matt and I were invited to my college teammates wedding in NYC there was NO WAY I was missing it. For one, she’s amazing and I was soooo pumped for her, and 2… it’s NYC! My only discrepancy was to take the kids or to leave them. Well when we asked my parents if they would be willing to take them while we were away, it turned into “sure we will watch them… in NYC!” So there it was the making of a weeklong family trip to the big apple. For those of you who know how type “A” I am, I am sure you could imagine how overwhelmed I became in thinking of all the things we were going to do while we visited, so when mom and dad said we...
