Suhhhh-MORE...

Summer lovin’ is drifting away… I keep seeing posts’ of my friends and family sharing their summer vacation photos, their 4th of July events and their last minute vacation plans etc. and I am wondering where the heck did summer go? We started off soo strong with a trip to Bisebee, another few trips to Phoenix, pool and pool parties on a regular basis (and by regular I mean there was one week we went EVERYDAY!).  And now I am looking at July (to me, the peak month of summer) and summer is almost OVER, dun dun dunnnnnnn.  The 4th of July was filled with BBQing, pool time and homemade peach pie, but no fireworks as we live in a state that’s dryer than the Sahara,  and we seem to have an over abundance of pyromaniacs living amongst us, thus the ban of a spectacular glittery night…sooooo, we all were in bed by 9PM…yikes! Early July we threw Dad a cocktail party for his 55th, and the guy doesn’t even look a day over 40! The kids are growing like weeds, and Kapri is starting to walk (she’s been trying for a month now). With only a month or less to go I am hoping to get a few more adventures in before the official season ends…Here are a few pics of the kids, cause they are too darn cute, and it makes my posts more interesting J

Playin' some ball!

Happy Baby

I love when they play together!

Hello & Goodbye to Sum•mer

sum·mer 1 ˈsəmər/ noun 1 .  the warmest season of the year, in the northern hemisphere from June to August and in the southern hemisphere from December to February. I just wanted to give myself a second to really think about this thing called summer. Anyone else think this definition is just a little bit vague? It's that time of year where we get all excited to have ZERO schedule, endless electronics, the chance to travel and cram in all of the fun you planned for all year long. Then when this so called "summer" ends, you feel bamboozled, like someone just waved that 4th of July pie you went to that party to specifically eat, right in front of your face only to look...not eat. Like seriously, it was here, right in front of my face, and now... it's gone. Now, now we pack lunch every night, we get our homework in (which I don't even understand), we figure out which parent is going to be the taxi for the day, we actually have to ...

She Turned 7!

SEVEN, she did it again... who does she think she is trying to get another year older on us. In all seriousness, she is SEVEN. Like, what happened to 5 and 6? Let me tell you what 7 looks like on my little Pripri... Just a few things about this girl 1. Guess who her favorite person is...duh. Micah 2. She is soooo much more compassionate and caring than I could have ever imagined. 3. She might be 7, however her attitude screams teen! She is sensitive but oh so brave and she is never afraid to take on new adventures! 4. Her best friend is still, you guessed it, Maggie. 5. Right now she is playing softball (second season) and is having a ton of fun. Cheerleading is still on her brain, but for now, we will stick with this. 6. When she laughs, you can't help but laugh with her. Her laugh alone will make you light up. 7. Her favorite things include: Unicorns, Bear (her pink one), Unicorns, Mermaids, those fake glasses (see pic below), her American Girl Doll (pic above), Uni...

The Big Apple

{deep breath}… We did it, we made it, and we are still alive to talk about it… We made it to and from New York City with our sanity in hand! Actually we got back on the 11th of October but it has taken me a few weeks to recover from the trip, I needed a little space between me and NYC, and now that I am feeling whole again I am ready to revisit our trip. When Matt and I were invited to my college teammates wedding in NYC there was NO WAY I was missing it. For one, she’s amazing and I was soooo pumped for her, and 2… it’s NYC! My only discrepancy was to take the kids or to leave them. Well when we asked my parents if they would be willing to take them while we were away, it turned into “sure we will watch them… in NYC!” So there it was the making of a weeklong family trip to the big apple. For those of you who know how type “A” I am, I am sure you could imagine how overwhelmed I became in thinking of all the things we were going to do while we visited, so when mom and dad said we...
